For this one, the prompt was something like ‘write about a picnic.’ I love prompts. Some of my best songs were inspired by prompts.
But though I’ve taken a lot of writing classes and writing workshops, and have been in several writing groups, all of which make you write about your past, remarkably I have never before written this true story from high school.
